What are Mobile Notary Services’ hours?

Monday to Friday – 10am to 6pm
Saturdays – 10 am to 4pm
Sundays – 10 am to 4pm

Do I need an appointment?

Yes, all clients need to make an appointment in advance. Please contact Mobile Notary Services via email or phone. (No texts, please.) We will strive to make an appointment as early as possible that is convenient to you, including same-day appointments if available.

What if the document isn’t in English?

The notary can certify true copies and witness the signatures of documents that aren’t in English.

What if the client can’t read, write, or speak in English?

Please contact Mobile Notary Services to discuss possibilities for accommodation.

Can you notarize as true copies documents that are only available electronically, such as bank statements or job offers?

Yes. The notary will meet you to see the document in its original format. That document will be printed off and the notary will stamp the printed version as a true copy.

Will Mobile Notary Services draft documents?

There are some affidavits and statutory declarations the notary can draft for an additional fee. The client is responsible for providing the notary the necessary information. The notary does not draft wills or powers of attorney.

Where does the notary travel?

The notary will meet with clients in their homes, at their place of business, or any other indoor location within the city of Kingston.

I don’t live in Kingston. Can I still get online services?

Yes, the notary can serve anyone within the province of Ontario. *PLEASE NOTE: Online notary services are temporarily suspended. Check back soon for an update on these services.

Does Mobile Notary Services provide legal advice?

Mobile Notary Services does not provide legal advice and does not evaluate the truth or accuracy of the documents they are notarizing.

Does Mobile Notary Services share its clients’ information?

All notaries are required to collect information from their clients and retain it for a minimum of three years. Mobile Notary Services encrypts all information and stores it in a secured, password protected computer. This information will not be shared unless required by law. This information will not be sold to organizations. Contact information will not be used to solicit additional business from clients.

What kinds of payments do you accept?

For mobile services, payment can be made via debit card, credit card, cash if the client is able to provide exact change, e-transfer, or Paypal.
